Hello! I’m heading down the road to a new platform.
I’m excited to invite you to join me at Wit & Thyme Substack where my mission is to provide a unique perspective, practical tools, and an interactive community around the topics I cover.
I will post recipes, share video demonstrations, talk about favorite products and equipment, and break down food costs for each recipe I post. This fall, I plan to schedule regular subscriber sessions on Zoom that will include cooking classes, Q & A’s, and any other topics we want to discuss. You can read more in my opening post A Fresh Start.
I’m about four chapters into my next book, which is not a cookbook, but a non-fiction memoir. It’s been cathartic to write about my marriage, parenting, loss, grief, joy, and all that I’ve learned and unlearned along the way. I intend to share regular updates and excerpts with my Susbstack community.

For those of you not familiar with the platform, here is how they describe themselves: Substack is a media app that connects you with the creators, ideas, and communities you care about most. Here, you can discover world-class video, podcasts, and writing from a diverse set of creators who cover politics, pop culture, food, philosophy, tech, travel, and so much more.
I like the fact that it is a site that encourages intentional use from subscribers, unlike more generalized social media. The subscription model keeps the trolls and negativity out for the most part. People are more likely to be there to follow their interests, not see what their friends are up to, though that happens naturally if your follow your creator friends. Also, as a recipe blogger, I love that there are no annoying ads popping up as you scroll through new recipes, crossing your fingers that you won’t have to reload the page by the time you get to the content you want!
Don’t worry, this site isn’t going anywhere; you can still search for and access your favorite recipes and posts at AuntieChatter.com!
If you choose to meet me over on Substack, (as some of you already have – thank you SO much!), there are a few options to subscribe or you can simply follow me. The majority of my content, including all my recipes with the new fun (and hopefully helpful) feature of cost breakdowns, will be free to everyone. Whichever you choose, I am so grateful for the support. If you feel like sharing recipes and posts with others, that is extremely helpful as well!
Here are the options you will see when you hit the “subscribe” button.
- Free. You will have access to recipes and other public posts.
- Monthly. For the price of one fancy coffee ($7), you will have full access to recipes, posts, videos, Zoom classes (starting in September), and anything else I decided to share. You will also be able to comment on posts, ask me questions, and join the community on the group chat. Your support will also allow me more time to finish my book and offer sneak peaks as I go.
- Annual. Same as monthly but you will save a little $.
- Founding Member. Same as monthly but you will be super supporting my dream of getting more people comfortable with their skills in the kitchen and developing a nurturing, fun community.
